THE BELOW ADVICE IS IN RELATION TO
ANTIOCH GOSPEL CHURCH (SYDNEY BRANCH)

This page has been designed to inform you about the following precautionary measures that we are taking as a church in relation to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We would greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in all matters that are related to these issues.

Key Points

-
Our church will be hosting a Sunday afternoon service in person at the Sydney Trades Hall for a limited number of pre-registered attendees, in addition to live-streaming the service to our online congregation, and gathering in smaller watch parties around the city.

-
Pre-registration to attend the Trades Hall service in person is essential, to enable social distancing and comply with current government regulations. [https://antiochgospel.church/pre-registration]

-
Many of our smaller team meetings, rehearsals and lifegroup gatherings are now being held in person.

-
Attendees to these meetings are required to follow all up-to-date Governmental advice, including but not limited to social distancing, check-in/check-out, proper hygiene and hand sanitisation and other regulations as relevant.

-
Current governmental advice is provided at: https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19

-
We will continue to monitor governmental updates and other advice received to tailor a strategy for re-gathering as a church.

-
Some weekly services of the church will most likely continue to stream online, instead of or in addition to gathering in person. A range of online service options have already been rolled out and are fully-functional throughout our weekly calendar.

-
To be explicit about what this means for our church:
-
Sunday Services: Will continue each Sunday with the option of either attending in person at the Sydney Trades Hall (for a limited number of pre-registered attendees), or live streaming of the service online at antioch.live (English Service) and antioch.live/indonesian (Bilingual Service). If you are unable to join the service times provided we regret that we will not typically be providing a watchable file of the service outside of this time. More information is available at our streaming page.
-
Encounter Meeting: All Friday meetings will continue to be held fully online, using a variety of streaming platforms. Please see the church calendar for meeting times and methods of streaming. These times are being updated regularly, so please check again a day or two prior to the scheduled meeting.
-
Support Team Volunteer Training Meeting AND The Next Level Volunteer Training Meeting: Will be held fully online, using Zoom. Please see the church calendar for meeting times. These times are being updated regularly, so please check again a day or two prior to the scheduled meeting.
-
Life Groups: Are predominantly gathering in person, with the option to be held using Zoom if required. As Christians it is important that we maintain a strong sense of fellowship and connection, especially during disruptive periods such as what is being faced at this period of time. We encourage every group member to read and follow the information provided at this page before attending an online Life Group.
-

-
The current church meeting schedule (including online events) will continue to be updated on our church calendar, which can be accessed here. We will be keeping this calendar up-to-date, so please continue to check back prior to attending meetings.

-
Please understand that the situation can evolve rapidly and changes may need to be made at very short notice. We will endeavour to provide up-to-the-moment information using the following communication channels (our email newsletter, Instagram and this website page). If you haven't subscribed to all of these communication channels please do so as soon as practical.

-
We are committed to ensuring that every church member continues to be spiritually discipled effectively. Please remember as we go through this together that our mission hasn’t changed – we are a church with a vision of evangelism, discipleship and sending, and while this season may disrupt some of the normal things that we do as a church, together we must remain focused on reaching out and sharing God’s love.

-
Finally, we do recognise there are a vast number of pastoral needs that continue to need to be supported, as part of the ongoing functions of the church. We want to let you know that our leadership team will continue to be available to provide pastoral services as needed. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the church pastoral team, departmental or team leaders for support, care, guidance and direction as required.

We believe that God will take us through this season together as we walk by faith and with wisdom. We serve a mighty God Who is working amongst us in amazing ways and will continue to be with us through whatever comes our way. Let's keep praying and believing that our supernatural God will come through for our families and communities in ways that far exceed our expectations and that His hope would shine through our lives in unprecedented ways.
